A Poll

Please take time to answer my question because I am in much need. I mean, I'm really just curious because my house is always spotless and is never messy. And I will just spend the next 2 days "touching up" before my family arrives for Christmas.

QUESTION: WHAT IS YOUR BEST QUICK/EASY CLEANING TRICK?

Here's mine for today, just in case you need/want it. Clean your lampshades with a lint roller! I just cleaned all of our lamp shades and now they look all fresh and sparkly... and I think it's brighter in here!

So do share... even if you think "everyone already knows that trick" chances are someone doesn't.

You can pretty much use baking soda and vinegar to clean anything! Both with a scrub brush make my porcelain sink sparkle.

Also, instead of bleach-based cleaners, you can spray with a vinegar/water/soap solution, wipe, and then spray with hydrogen peroxide and wipe. This actually kills more bacteria without the harsh chemicals. This is a tip I received from a friend who's daughter has leukemia...she knows a lot about getting rid of bacteria!

Okay, dust right before your guest arrive so it smells super clean! Also, in order to not feel like you have to do it ALL in one day...set your timer for 30 minutes, clean as much as you can, but ONLY for 30 minutes. It goes by fast and it's amazing what you can get done!
