An Important Skill

Today, I taught Eva an important life skill.  It's an art form really.  One that is likely being lost on the next generation.  But I am here to tell you that that girl thought it was the most fun day!  What did we do?  We washed the car.  BY HAND!  I am certain that she felt like we'd gone to a water park.  She kept telling me how fun it was.  :)  And it was fun to do it with her.  However, if I'm being honest?  I'm exhausted and sweaty!  Washing the car when your an adult is not nearly as much fun as you think it is when you're a kid.

The car washing was all part of checking off fun things on our summer bucket list.  I wanted to be intentional about making the most of this summer because if I get accepted into OT school next year, then this will be my last summer with them for a couple of years.  I want to make the most of our moments.  And if that means washing the car?  Then by golly, we will wash the car!  :)

Next up: a rainbow cake, shaving cream slip and slide, a road trip to DeRidder, and learning to fully ride her bike without training wheels (among other fun things)!
