Recently, Ryan taught Eva how to give "nose kisses". As she was getting ready for bed one night, Ryan asked her for kisses, which she gave. Then Eva said "nose" and leaned in for a nose kiss. This began a nightly routine of real kisses followed by nose kisses. Well several nights ago, Ryan was trying to give Eva her nighttime kisses and she grabbed his head and pushed it toward me and said "mommy's" (as in mommy's turn). She wanted Ryan and me to kiss. It was so sweet. After he kissed me, then she was satisfied. Ryan and I were discussing later about how much security and comfort she must get when she knows that we love each other. It was a sweet little reminder that she is observing everything about our lives, even our affection toward one another. What a great time to begin to show her what true love is. We have also started a nightly routine of doing a group hug. It's so sweet to watch her reach out to the parent who isn't currently holding her because she wants both of us in the hug. What a sweet child.

I just checked your blog on a whim just to see if you had anything new--and there were PICTURES!!!! Made my day.
By the way--I have a picture of you when you were about that age that looks just like the second picture of Eva. In fact, I have another one that looks like the first one also. This is the first time I have seen much resemblance to her mom, but this was VERY much like your pictures at that age.
Keep the pictures coming. They melt my heart.

LOVE that you commented on my blog so that now I can keep up with yours. At first I was like, "Who is Haley Frederick?" :-) But, the 'Haley' part gave it away, so I rushed on over.
Your little girl is so cute. Love the pictures. And don't worry, if you are naturally a picture-taker like me, ALL of your children will have the boo-boos pictures. :-) My mom just isn't into taking pictures period, so even I don't have all that many pictures, esp. after I hit a certain age. It's like pulling teeth to get her to take pictures of Tucker for us now that he's 16. So funny.
