Within the last 24 hrs

Yesterday morning, Ryan was leaving for work and was telling the kids goodbye, giving hugs and kisses. After kissing Eli, he moved on to Eva. While hugging Eva, Eli started signing for "more" because he wanted more hugs. It was the sweetest thing! When Ryan went back to him, Eli raised his arms to be picked up. I think he loves his daddy. :)

-----------------------------

My trip to the grocery store took a grand total of 30 minutes yesterday. "Why?" you ask. Well that would be because about 23 minutes into our grocery trip, Eva declared she needed to potty. Mommy was frustrated, I admit. It's just not easy to go back to where we started and have to leave our cart of groceries and hold Eli and my bag and help Eva on and off the potty. But that is a lot less frustrating than her wetting her pants, so off we went to the bathroom. Only to get there and find that the bathrooms were out of order. I even checked the boys bathroom, because I was just that desperate. :) After asking someone at customer service if there were any other bathroom and finding that was it, we high-tailed it to find the few things on the list that we couldn't live without and hurried to check our and hurry home. Eva kept telling me, "Mommy, I don't want to teetee in my pants." Talk about panic! But we made it.

---------------------------------

This morning when Eli woke up from his nap too early, I left him in his room for a few more minutes hoping he would go back to sleep. Wishful thinking. When I walked in his room to rescue him he started clapping upon seeing me. Made my heart melt a little.

--------------------------------

We went on a picnic for lunch and Ryan was able to come meet us on his lunch break. It was such a fun time with my 3 1/2 favorite people. But I forgot my camera and didn't take any pictures.

----------------------------

Eli's 4th tooth broke through this morning. Finally! After days of swollen and tender gums. He also started pulling up to standing today and is letting go. He was so proud of himself!

And now you have lived a day in the life of the Frederick fam. Well, except you missed the pleasure of waking up at 6:15. That will just have to wait until you come visit and spend the night. :)

Okay, out of order or not: I would have marched myself and my four year old into that bathroom and used their facilities anyway. Or I would have demanded to use the employee restroom. That's just wrong.

I probably should have Lori. Amazingly enough, though, I was able to get all but about 3 other things on my list in the next 4 1/2 minutes. AND found an open register at 5:10 in the evening.

What cute little stories throughout the day! I loved Eli clapping when you came in his room and signing for more love from his daddy. I am the exact same way when Ella says she needs to go potty at the most inconvenient times. The best is when she says it while I am driving on the highway!
