This little girl is a thinker. Just looking at her sometimes, I can almost see the wheels turning in her brain. When I notice that "look", I will ask her, "Whatcha thinkin' about?" It's interesting to hear her responses.
Well, last night, just before she went to bed, Eva was hanging out on the couch with her sweet daddy who was watching a sports documentary. At some point during the few minutes they were sitting there, she heard the phrase "crack house" used in the documentary. Being the curious kid she is, she needed to know more.
"Daddy, what's a crack house? Does it have lots of cracks in it? I'm trying to imagine in my mind what a crack house looks like," she says in one continuous stream of consciousness.
I think Ryan answered with something along the lines of it being just a house, but that people usually make bad choices there. (Correct me if I'm wrong, Ryan.)
Anyway, we thought it was hilarious! No, we don't want her knowing what a crack house is, but her perception that it's a house with lots of cracks is so innocent. Recently she has started trying to imagine things in her head. It's very "Anne of Green Gables".
Do love that girl!
This post is dedicated to my brother Brock, who loves to call people "crack-head".
