So here is where we are: Eli will sit on the potty but not for very long. About 60% of the time he takes his diaper off right after he has tinkled or pooped. The other 30% of the time, he takes it off and goes on the floor. I think he mostly has the understanding, but just hasn't put it all together. Oh and also, he doesn't like wearing underwear. I think it is related to sensory stuff. They just feel different, I guess, and so he doesn't really like them.
Now please share your best secrets and tips.

I don't have a lot of experience but do have a potty trained boy. What we did: three-day naked weekend and switched to only undies during the day (boxer briefs). Cold turkey. Three-day naked weekend was just for Will...no need for adults to be naked, that would be inappropriate and awkward :) So, we partitioned off the living room, laid out a BUNCH of towels, wipes, his potty chair, toys, and that's it. We didn't leave the house for three days. Will would start to pee and we would quickly move him to his potty chairs. There were messes galore and we did our best to stay calm. After day one, he began to walk to the potty as he was peeing. Then, he started to sit on the potty by himself (we started using m&m's as a reward at this point). We also had a sticker chart/calendar. He had a few accidents a day for about a week and then maybe once a week and then was just done. We never used pull-ups.

We did something similar to what Michelle did. Three days of pretty much nakedness (for Jett of course!) We didn't use potty chairs though, just went straight to the big potty. But, we did it cold turkey as well, no more diapers, even at nap time and bed time, and NO PULL UPS! I think that was where I went wrong with Addie. He did SO great, I was shocked, completely exhausted, and shocked!
