The newest exciting news in our house is that Isaac is almost completely potty trained! Once he decided he was ready, he has been fairly easy to train. We can go on errands with no diaper on him and he will tell us that he needs to go, most of the time. We still ask frequently just because he's still new at this and can't foresee that he may need to go in 5 minutes when there is no potty in sight...
Which is how we ended up pulling over into a parking lot on Friday morning to let him tinkle in front of all God's creation...and also some construction workers. Not that construction workers aren't part of God's creation, but you know what I mean. :). Meanwhile, Eva is in the backseat covering her face saying, "This is soooo embarrassing!"
This above picture was taken this morning while we were working on the last 10% of potty training. Pooping.
I know. TMI! But it's a part of life. So let's just be grown-ups...or actually maybe we should be kids about it because they don't seem to mind discussing bodily functions.
The modern-day kid plays a game on the iPad while trying to be inspired to take care of business.
For the record, it didn't work. But there's always the next time.
Now, just one more little boy to go and this house will be diaper-free! There is light at the end of the tunnel, my friends!

Haley! I love your blog and love learning from you!! I'm so thankful that I have you as a role model!! (even if we do live hundreds of miles away!)
Thanks for sharing all of your adventures with your children!! Including your insecurities!! I already have a few of my own and Ella's not even here yet!!
I have the solution! Let Isaac watch the "EVERY DINOSAUR POOPS" episode of Dinosaur Train on the iPad while sitting on the toilet! Surely that will be inspiring! :)
GREAT IDEA Emma! I thought about singing him the song, but I didn't. I guess I should. :)
And thanks, Court. You are so sweet. Just know that all mamas are insecure about something. You're a wise mama already to learn from others. This job is not easy, some days it feels more like a "refining fire", but hopefully it makes us all look a little bit more like Jesus at the end of the day.
