MERRY CHRISTMAS!
From all of us to all of you!
I really had great intentions of sending out a Christmas card this year. I love getting cards from all of our friends every year and I thought I might actually return the favor this year. I even got these beautiful pictures taken! But alas, life happened and the next thing I knew I was out of time. I was busy raising three kids and taking finals in Anatomy& Physiology and Ethics. Sorry I'm such a slacker. :)
So in lieu of a card, I'm doing a blog post. Just pretend this came in the mail with calligraphy on the address label.
Family Updates: These three are growing so fast and keep us on our toes!
Highlights of Eli's year:
-He turned four!
-He is expanding his interests from dinosaurs to include super heroes.
-He is finally potty-trained!!!!
-He has hilarious things to say, which you know if you read this blog very often.
-He's generally awesome and we love the socks off him!
-This girl turned SEVEN over the summer! I'm still not sure how that is possible.
-She is in second grade and is rocking it. She reads like a champ.
-This kid has the most sensitive spirit and wisdom beyond her years.
-She learned how to really swim this summer!
-FINALLY lost her first tooth just a couple of weeks ago, after waiting for what felt like forever to her.
- Beautiful inside and out!
-This little firecracker turned three at Thanksgiving.
-He is pure joy and personality.
- We are constantly amazed at his little boy muscles. He is so strong and fast.
-This kid is not going to let big brother or sister do anything that he isn't going to try also.
-He also got potty trained this summer! (We are now diaper free for the first time in SEVEN years!!!)
Though there aren't pictures of us (you're welcome) we have updates too. Ryan is still working for Shelterwood and was promoted to Assistant Program Director over the summer. It's meant longer hours and more stress, but it is such a blessing to know that he is doing exactly what God has gifted him for and given him the passion for.
And as most of you know, I have gone back to school this year and am hoping to get into occupational therapy school either this coming year or the next. It was a huge step, but one we prayed about and really felt like it was the direction God was leading us next. We're crazy. And we're tired. But we sure do love these little people and this life that God has given us.
Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas! May the wonder of our Savior's birth fall fresh on your hearts this year as you reflect on Immanuel, God with us!!!
