Our Week In Review

It's been another busy week around the Frederick house.  Last weekend, Ryan said he had a toothache and needed to go to the dentist.  Awesome... we don't have dental insurance at the moment.  But when your tooth hurts, you just gotta go see Dr. Dentist.  So Monday morning he got an appointment then some X-rays.  The dentist then said, your wisdom teeth need to come out.  We knew this.  About a year ago, the dentist told him they needed to come out, but thinking we didn't think we had the money for it at the time, so we didn't do it.  It kinda makes  us laugh now.

Oh Perspective... you're a funny, funny thing.

So Friday afternoon, Ryan had 2 of his wisdom teeth taken out.  (We decided to wait on the other two since you pay by the tooth and the other side of his mouth wasn't hurting... yet.)  We figure that we can hopefully wait until we get dental insurance before doing this again.  Although, I'm not sure that Ryan will be anxious to sign up for this again.  He's been in some pain.

Eva has been super sweet to her daddy.  She keeps praying that Jesus will make his mouth feel better in a few weeks.  :)  We keep telling her to say a few days... but her perspective of time isn't quite developed yet.  It makes us laugh.

All weekend, she kept getting in the bed with him and going to check on him.  At some point, she started picking up my scripture memory cards that were by my side of the bed and was "reading" them.  Except she was reading them like they were prayers.  So she opened up my little spiral and started praying:
Dear Jesus,  I appreciate I love mommy and daddy.  I appreciate I love (insert random family member's name here).  I love my princess dress.  Help daddy's mouth feel all better in a few weeks.  Amen.

She kept doing this over and over all weekend.  It was so funny.  She would change it up slightly each time, but it always started with "I appreciate I love..." When praying with her, we've never used that phrase or even the word "appreciate" period.  She's a funny one.

In unrelated news, we think we found a rental house that will meet our needs for the next couple of years so we're really excited about that.  It is the price we were hoping for and has the space that I was hoping for.  Don't get me wrong, it's still a tiny house, but all the houses around here have basements.  This basement is finished which added an extra bedroom, bathroom, and living area.  It also has a HUGE deck in the backyard and the yard is fenced, which isn't necessarily standard around here.  That's been hard for me to get used to after living in TX for so long, but fences are just not standard.  Apparently the family that lives next door has a little girl around 4-ish, so that will be fun.  We found this house on accident and feel like it's for us.  Hopefully our house will close as planned on the 27th and we can move into this house at the beginning of April!

Also, because some of you have asked, the inspection went well last week.  We actually haven't heard anything from it, which we're taking as a good sign.  The couple buying knew that the house was as is, but they still could have requested that we fix anything on the inspection report.  So far they haven't.  We're still praying that everything continues as planned.  Only 10 more days until closing!!!

That Eva is a smart one...and what a soft heart she has. :) I hope Ryan feels better soon. Getting your wisdom teeth out is not fun...at all! And yea! on the place to live. Can't wait to see pictures. We found this house on "accident" as well. ;)

Poor Ryan. Having your wisdom teeth pulled is awful. I am loving Eva's prayers. So funny! Glad you found a rental house! Hopefully, that takes a lot of pressure off.
