For the record, I started this blog last week, but never finished it. Then we went out of town this weekend and didn't take my computer. More on our weekend adventures later...
Mr. Blue eyes turned 11 months old on May 26th. Can't believe he will be one in less than a month.
This little guys is by far the happiest little thing you can possibly imagine. Even though he gives us this look (above) all the time. He really does smile and has the greatest belly laugh.
Other things that make his heart happy:
-Eating. Not much has changed there. Still tries everything and likes most everything. His newest favorite food? Beans. He loves black, pinto, red, and baked beans. He will start signing for more and saying "ma" before he ever gets his first bite down. It's the cutest thing I've ever seen. If you eat in his presence, be prepared to share at least one bite with him, even if he's not hungry. He just wants to investigate a bite or two and then he's gone again.
-Sleeping. He is now a pretty good sleeper. Roughly 11-12 hrs every night and 2-3 hrs of naps every day. Like clock work.
-All things water. He loves to splash and play and last night I officially got as wet as he did while giving him a bath.
-Sister. That boy loves his sister! He lights up when he sees her. He also does a pretty good job of letting her know when he has had ENOUGH! Sometimes Eva likes to share a little too much affection and it gets on his nerves. I get a kick out of their interactions.

One of their sweeter moments as they were waiting for daddy to get home.
The window is Ei's happy place. He loves to sit there and watch the cars go by and gets particularly excited when he sees a truck or motorcycle. What is it with boys? Attracted to trucks at such a young age. So funny!
Eli also has a particular fondness for playing ball. He loves to pick up his ball, roll/throw it, and then go get it. He'll also play with me. If I tell him to roll the ball to me, he'll hand it to me and wait for me to roll it back. It's one of my favorite things to do.
He is starting to say a lot more sounds that seem close to words.
Baby boy, we love you to pieces!

I absolutely love the picture of Eva and Eli in front of the door. Soooooo sweet. It gets distorted, however, as my wallpaper. Did you crop it? I'm trying to figure out why some pictures work and others don't. Any suggestions, anyone???

OH MY WORD...he's almost 1???? Where did the time go??? He is such a cutie!!!
Yes, mom, I cropped that picture.
Love the picture, too! Just sent it to Walgreens - we'll see if that one comes out blurred (got 4 prints - you know me....) It's just the sweetest picture. Just love those children!
Love, Mimi
