I have been feeling particularly thankful for our church lately. From the moment we decided to pack up and move here, we prayed that we would be able to find a new church quickly. We knew that we were likely embarking on a spiritual journey that was bigger than we were when we decided to say yes to God's calling to leave Fort Worth.
We learned about our church through an old college friend of Ryan's. He had a friend who had just come on staff. And another friend knew someone who knew someone... or something. Either way, we didn't know a soul, but decided to give the church a try.
It took exactly one visit to know that we were at home. My heart felt more at home than it maybe ever had before at any church. For weeks, I felt like God was speaking right to me. I obviously felt very alone in those first few weeks and months, but again, God was so good to start building friendships and relationships so quickly.
Since those first visits, we have gotten to know the staff more and I so appreciate their hearts for the lost in our city and for the lost around the world.
I leave church feeling very challenged to live differently. To live in a way that brings glory to our Father.
I'm so thankful to be living this journey with the believers at our church.
