Questions???

Eva has had lots of questions and comments about Jesus lately.  It has been so hilarious!  The question that most frequently stumps me is, "Mommy, where's Jesus?"  How am I supposed to explain the omnipresence of God to a 2 year old?  I do my best.
"Jesus is in Heaven.  And Jesus is in mommy's heart and daddy's heart," I say.
The two-year old brain is spinning.  "Jesus in rain."
"Yes, and Jesus is in the rain."  I'm laughing.  Maybe this child understands more about omnipresence than I do.

Fast forward a few days.  "Mommy, where's Jesus?"
"In Heaven."
"Where's Jesus's mommy?"
"She's in Heaven with Jesus."
As you know from previous posts, this cycle of questions continues for about 23 minutes before I ask her to tell me where Jesus is.  She tells me he's in Heaven.  She's quick.

Fast forward to today.  We were discussing that it was almost bed time.  Eva's been having a lot of problems sleeping lately, which will be a post for another day.  We've been telling her that she doesn't need to be afraid... yada, yada, yada.  So, she said, "Eba not be scared."
"Yes, Eva, you don't have to be afraid.  Because Jesus will always take care of you and watch over you," I tell her.
She replies, "Jesus nice."
Again, I just have to laugh out loud for like 5 minutes.  She is definitely learning lots of truths about Christ at such an early age.  The things that come out of toddler's mouths are just too funny.

That is really cute! Don't you just love getting to teach her about Jesus? It is such a blessing to be able to impart truth to our little ones.

Isn't it just amazing how God can already start to draw even the littlest of ones to Him! I have no doubt that God allows the children to see and understand things that we might not be able to understand! Such as her saying Jesus is the rain! How awesome! He is the rain, and He reigns in us! What a precious story!!! Thanks for sharing!
"Then Jesus called for the children and said to the disciples, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children."
Luke 8:16

I just love the innocent minds of two year-olds! Eva is adorable. You can't get more simple and TRUE than, "Jesus is nice." Sweet girl.

You guys are doing an amazing job teaching her about Christ.
