As mentioned previously, Eva has been saying so many grown up things lately. Occasionally I hear my own words coming back to me in the form of toddler-ese. It's to funny.
Example 1: So maybe I have told Eva a time or two, while I'm trying to get her dressed and she is playing the "run from mommy" game, "Come here you little weisel!" The words came flying back on Sunday afternoon as I was trying to get her dressed again and she kept running and laughing. She looked at me and said as plainly as you can imagine, "Come here little weisel!" Should I not have laughed? I don't know, but I certainly did! Which only egged her on and she kept saying that precious phrase over and over again.
Example 2: Also on Sunday afternoon (she was on a roll!), Ryan came in from running a quick errand and I had just given Eva some mini M&Ms (judge not). I told her to tell Ryan what she had just eaten and she said, "Umm, I don't remember. Let me think for a minute." She then put her finger up to her pursed lips and tapped her lips as she "thought".
I really should make this a weekly update. Eva is always good for a laugh! Maybe I need to watch what I say and then she wouldn't be quite as funny! Can you imagine her telling a child in preschool that took her toy, "Come here you little weisel!"
