Cupcakes and Tutus

Yesterday was a "no-car-day".  That means we were stuck inside all day trying to find things to occupy us.  The perfect day to whip out the materials needed for every little girls dream.  A tutu!  My friend Stephanie had a link on her blog, just before Christmas, that gave directions for a homemade tutu.  (Click here if you want to make your own tutu.)
So, while Eva was sleeping I made a tutu and Eva woke up to quite a fun surprise.  She was so excited!  Put the tutu on and it stayed on for the rest of the day.
This is Eva spinning like a ballerina.
More ballerina poses.  She kept these serious looks on her face the whole time I was taking pictures.  It was quite humorous.
The nose-picking ballerina.  We're working on the manners... and the need to always use a kleenex.  Clearly it's working out well for us.  :)
The tutu is reversible.  One way has pink on top.  The other way has green on top.

And this is Eva enjoying her pink cupcake that we made last week.  She mostly just eats the icing and then leaves the whole cupcake.  This is a face of pure joy!

We'll see what other cold-weather, "one-car-day" activities we come up with tomorrow.  It'll be a whopping 10 degrees tomorrow.  Nice.

How cute is that!? Great job on the tutu. I am glad Eva likes it so much. Lucy won't go near hers, but was happy to wear the one I made for her friend while we were at their house last night. Go figure.

She is absolutely adorable! ABSOLUTELY! And, you are super creative Haley!!! How cute is that tutu!??? I'm so impressed. I can't believe it's 10 degrees there today. I don't really comprehend that number. I'm praying for your activity full day! Oh, and that things warm up quickly!

BTW, I am a little envious of Eva's tan in January!
