Well, Saturday, I started asking her my routine question of do you want a little brother or a little sister and she responded she wanted a little brother. Shocking. So I asked her again later and she continued to have the same response. Interesting, I thought to myself.
That brings us to today. I was all stretched out on the table with a layer of goo all over my tummy watching little bambino squirm around in there, when the ultrasound tech asked Eva if she wanted a little brother or a little sister. Eva said she wanted a little brother. To which the tech said, "Well, that's what you're getting!"
IT'S A BOY!!!
We're stunned, excited, and scared all at the same time. I mean, having a little girl is what we know. Now there's a whole new world opening up that will include pee-pee guards so no one gets sprayed.
Also, my little man looks perfectly healthy! Heart, kidneys, head, spine... it all looks perfect. And he is weighing in at 13 oz. Oh my goodness, he's so cute. I just want to kiss his face to pieces. I guess I have to wait a little bit longer, though. (And yes, I know you really can't determine cuteness from an ultrasound... unless you're a mommy and then you totally can!)
So here's to all the t-ball games to be played, trees to climb, frogs to catch, and hearts to melt. Oh man, I'm falling in love with this boy already! Sorry Ryan, there's a new boy in my life. :)

Congratulations!! I hear boys are a BLAST!! Eva will love her little brother!
CONGRATS!!!! That was SO my guess!!! Any names yet! Oh my, I am SO excited!
YAY!!!!!!!!! I was secretly hoping you would have a boy....seriously they are so much fun (but that's all I know!) Eva is going to be such a great big sister!!!
Congrats! Boys are fun!
And I am not sure if you will have success with a pee pee guard...you still have to open the diaper to put one on! I guess it all depends on how quick you are!
Oh I am sooooo excited!!!! I can't wait to meet that little man!!!! You will have so much fun with him!!!!
Woo hoo! Too much to say here, so be ready for a phone call later.
How exciting! Remember, girls play t-ball, climb trees, catch frogs, and melt hearts, too. They often do it in different ways than boys, however. So much fun with both. I know that the grandparents are soooo excited, too. A baby is truly a gift from God.

Congratulations~ Having a big sister/little brother "combo" is the best!!! I absolutely cherish my "little man"! :) Eva will be a great big sister! She will be LOTS of help for you! Seriously, I'm excited for you!
How fun!! Congrats to you all. I agree with Jennifer - the big sister/little brother combo is so fun. I wasn't sure I'd know what to do with a boy (almost all my siblings are girls), but you learn quick...and they are just such a sweet blessing. Ben is a mama's boy for sure (it was his first word!), and I love having a son. I know you will as well. :)
Congrats on the boy! So excited for you and can't wait to hear about how he changes your lives in the not too distant future!
AHHHH, what an adventure!!!! Little boy's are so fun and you are going to LOVE it!!!! Little Eva will love being a big sister too!!
YIPEE!!! Not that I know from too much experience (10 days today!!!) but I am so crazy about my little boy! And, I have been sprayed several times already, but I have learned to point "it" down!!! You are going to have a blast! CONGRATS!!!
AWW!! So exciting! I love that Eva called it first too! Congrats! You are a great mommy, no matter what sex the baby is!
Yay! How fun for you guys! Ryan and you will be GREAT boy parents too! Hope you're feeling better!!
Congratulations !!! I'm so excited for you guys !! When we asked Abby if she wanted a sister or a brother, she would always say she wanted a sister. Up until the day Nathan was born if you asked her what her baby brothers name was going to be she'd respond with, "Baby Sister."
