So now onto the reasons I love my kids so much:
The Firstborn- This kid has an imagination and a half! We act out the entire story of Cinderella about 4 times a day. She plays Cinderella and I play, the stepmother, the fairy godmother, the prince, the stepmother again, the guy that brings the shoe to Cinderella, then the prince again... and then we live happily ever after! I get so confused sometimes, but she loves it!
I think I have mentioned before that Eva is fully into the "imaginary friend" stage. It is so funny. Her imaginary people are actually her daughters and their names are: Christina, her friend, her other friend, Thumbelina, and Rebecca. Update: We now also have a Sally added to the mix. Now that equals five kids right? If you ask her how many children she has she will usually answer, "I have between 7 and 18 daughters."
This weekend, we went out to celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday a little early. My sister-in-law was trying to explain to Eva the concept of giving a toast. She told her, "Someone taps their glass and says 'I'd like to make a toast.'" So Eva tapped on her plate (same sound, different object) and said proudly, "I'd like to make a waffle."
This morning she started a conversation with Ryan, "Daddy, I have two questions about when I have a loose tooth. One, when I have a loose tooth, how will I brush them? Two, when I have a loose tooth, how will I chew?" These are deep thoughts at 7:30 in the morning!
Her favorite phrase these days is "Mommy, can you believe that in one year I will be going to Kindergarten?!" Um, no I cannot and please stop talking about it before mommy curls into the fetal position to cry. Thankyouverymuch!
My precious Second-born- This child is a hoot! He is a bull in a china closet and he makes me laugh all day long. His little personality has really come alive in recent months. He can still give you a stare that makes you feel so stupid. He typically gives it to people he doesn't know that are trying to make him laugh. But don't let this look fool you, because this boy has the most contagious laugh. He giggles from the depths of his belly. He loves a good game of chase and will entice this game by crawling away and stopping to look back to see if someone is after him. (He is walking, but he is still way faster at crawling so that is how we play chase.)
The absolute funniest thing that he does is sing. Eva loves to sing the "Ariel song". You know when Ursula is taking her voice and Ariel sings "Ahhh, ahh, ahhh..." well Eva sings this every day. And Eva time she sings it, Eli starts singing it too. I keep trying to get it on video because it is the funniest thing ever, but he always seems to get distracted by the camera. I'm not giving up though. (He is going to hate me for telling that story someday. But if he could just know how hilarious it is!!!)
He is still a little cuddle bug and I am soaking up every second of that stage! I love that he wants to crawl over to me just to get some cuddles. Love him so much!
Sweet little third born- I am just already in love with this little guy, too. I'm dying to know what he's going to look like and what kind of personality he will have. All I know at this point is that the boy has quite the kick. I'm kind of scared of the last trimester because of the strength of kicks I'm already taking.
And no, he doesn't have a name yet. And no, we are probably not going with an "E" name. We do have a list that has been reduced down to approximately 10ish names. Maybe when we narrow it down to 2-3, I'll put up a poll for you friends to cast your vote. :) That could be fun!
That's my novel on why I love my hilarious kids. :)

I LOVE YOUR KIDS, TOO! They sure make my life sweeter...and, "funner"! Enjoyed the post and remembering what a wonderful week we had with Eva and weekend before and after with the entire family!
Love - Mimi K
I think I would have cried from laughing so hard to Eva saying "I would like to make a waffle." That seriously just made my day.
1- Eva is a deep thinker all of the time it sounds like...
2- Eli is like a replica of Ryan. When I look at th epictures form your past posts I kind of laugh out loud at how much he looks like him
3- CONGRATS to Emilie and Ryan! She looked beautiful and happy and you and your daughter were beautiful as well!
Miss you guys
Carolen, I think you are the only person who has ever said that Eli looks like Ryan. That is too funny. If you could see baby pictures of me and my dad, you would change your mind in a heartbeat. :)
