Carrier Monkey

I've been instructed by my husband to make a correction. Back in December I shamefully called my husband a "carrier monkey" in one of my posts because he had been the only one in our house to not get sick. Well, this week, I'm the carrier monkey apparently. Eva and Ryan both came down with a stomach virus that only by the grace of God I did not get. (I will spare you all of the details of the virus. As Eva kept saying, "Yuck!") And for those that are keeping count, this is Eva's 5th separate illness in 6 weeks. Poor kid can't catch a break. I guess her immune system just can't keep up with everything she's coming into contact with. This only affirms the fact that I need to find a way to be able to quit my job so I can stay home with her again. I'm praying that something will happen soon to allow that to be a reality. Even though I only work part-time, I just miss her so much when I'm at work. And it breaks my heart when she gets sad when we have to leave her at the baby sitter's house.

On a happier note, Eva is talking so much. It's like this weekend she just flipped a little switch and has been putting so many 2-word phrases together. It's so fun! She is also learning to count. Yesterday she was looking at her cup and she said "butterflies" and then she said "2 butterflies". So, I looked and sure enough, there were 2 butterflies. It was amazing, I thought. I know I'm bragging, but I guess I'm allowed because I'm a mom and that's what moms do best! :)
