Haley's awful, no good, very bad day

Yep, today has been one of those. Let me share. It started at 3:30 this morning when I had a sneezing fit that woke me from my comfortable sleep. This woke me up completely and I couldn't go back to sleep. When my alarm went off at 5:45, I quickly decided "No work out this morning. I'm going back to sleep." So I reset my alarm clock for a few more minutes of sleep. I had only been asleep about 20 minutes or so when that darn thing woke me up for good. No snoozing or I would have been later for work than I already was. I get to work a little late with just a few minutes to check voicemail before I need to leave for my first home visit. Well, my boss who seems to not like me very much had left me a voicemail that started the day in the wrong direction. I'll spare all the details, but it seems to me that she expects the worst out of me. So, now I'm no longer just tired, now I'm cranky and edgy as well. My first 2 visits go fine, but I'm running a little late to my 3rd visit. I'm traveling down a more residential street, following a truck which obstructed my vision of the road. Therefore, I did not see the piece of cinder block in the road. I missed one piece, but not the second piece, which I hit directly with my front left tire. I stopped and looked because it was so loud I thought my bumper was probably hanging off. I pulled over and everything looked fine. I got back in the car and continued to my next visit, which was not in the nicest area of town. When I got to this area of town, I had to pull over to wait for a co-worker who needed to follow me. After I started driving again, I immediately realized that my tire was flat. When I got to the client's house, I looked and realized that my tire was completely flat... as in not drivable at all! I called Ryan to try to figure out what we needed to do. My car had to be towed or something. LONG story short, Ryan called AAA and renewed our membership and then this nice boy came and put my spare tire on (I hadn't thought about the spare before then... I just assumed they needed to tow it). Then I had to go get Eva from Mother's Day Out and then take her to my office so I could finish some paperwork that was due today. Thankfully one of my friends at work had snacks for Miss Cranky Pants (she didn't get a good nap at MDO today). Now we're at home and Eva is still cranky. I tried laying her down for a nap before writing this, but she's up again and I'm looking forward to her bedtime. I'm thinking it will be a little earlier tonight. Oh, and my hubby has a late visit tonight, so he won't be home until almost 8:00. Booo!

Because I"m trying to exhibit a better attitude of thankfulness and praise, I'll write the blessings for the day: 1. I didn't actually have to see my boss today. 2. I didn't have a blow-out or actually break down while in the ghetto. 3. I was able to complete a visit while waiting on the AAA guy. 4. I don't have to cook dinner tonight... we're having leftovers. :) 5. Eva is still pretty cute, even when she's a stinker. 6. Jesus still loves me, even though I'm a stinker, too.

(I wrote this earlier and since then, the day got "better". Eva pooped in the tub and since Daddy is working late, guess who gets to clean it up? You guessed it! That would be me. That's where I'll be if anyone needs me. So, I guess I'll add another thankful point. I had gloves to clean the tub!!!) :)

7. And your mom and dad love you to death and love it when you choose to call them when you are having a bad day. I think a little "Anne day" time would make it all better. Can't wait to see you in two days! I'll bring "Anne" with me.
