Today, I had a wonderful surprise! While I was at work this morning, my oldest brother, Brock, who lives in Nashville, called and said, "What are you doing tonight?" I told him that we didn't have any plans and asked why, to which he replied, "I'll call you right back." Brock called back and said that he and his wife, Auny, were at the DFW airport and their flight had been cancelled. Now they had the whole day and night to hang out with us. We had so much fun. They're a little crazy so we laughed a lot tonight, which is always good. We weren't able to see them at Christmas, so today was a special treat. It was fun watching them interact with Eva. Eva took to Auny super quickly. However, her love for her Uncle Brock was a little less evident. She definitely likes the idea of him but doesn't want him to get too close. For those who don't know my brother, let me just say, his look is a little...nonconventional. I think she will be asking for "Brock?" and "Auny?" in the morning when she wakes up and they're not here anymore. So, today was a better day that Tuesday. And a little update, I had to buy a new tire. The one that hit the cinder block was not repairable. I count it as a gift from Jesus that I didn't have a blow our while in that bad part of town.
