She slept late again today (I didn't even get to see her because I had to leave for work at 7 am) and Ryan said she just wasn't quite herself, but she wasn't running fever or anything, so we sent her to Mother's Day Out. The rest of the day was about the same with her just not being her normal self. She spent much of the afternoon in my arms/lap.
This evening, after Ryan got home, he was holding her and dipped her back to "zerbert" (sp?) her tummy and she just started screaming! I knew immediately that it was a scream of pain. Ryan looked at me stunned. The mommy instinct said "It's her ears." So, I asked her if her ear hurt and she said, "ear hurt." I then asked her which ear hurt and she pointed to the right one. I asked her again later which ear hurt and she again pointed to the right ear. Needless to say, we'll be calling Dr. Sampson at 8 am to try to get her in. We mentioned to Eva that we would go see the doctor tomorrow and a little while later she started saying, "Ready bye-bye. Ready bye-bye. Dr. Tampton." I think she knows in the best way that a 22 month old can know, that going to the doctor will help her feel better.
I think it will take Ryan a couple of years to recover from the way Eva cried earlier. He feels so guilty, although I have assured him 100 times over that she doesn't remember it and he had no way of knowing. But being the tender hearted daddy that he is, he's very sad for his little girl.
On completely unrelated news, there is a part-time job possibility for Ryan that if it worked out the way we hope, could mean that I could stay home with Eva. That would be amazing! Please pray with us, that if this is God's will that he will open every door at the perfect time. Thanks friends. I'll keep you posted!

Poor Eva. I'm hoping that her appt went well and she will be on the mend soon. And poor Ryan--there is no way he could have known, and every parent has been in that position. I'll be praying for the potential part-time position so you can stay home. Good luck!
Poor Baby! Those ear infections sure do hurt! I'm sure Ryan was stunned, he is such a sweet guy! Hopefully she will be feeling better soon. :) I will post a responce to my blog from yesteray soon. Your comment cracked me up! :)
