Some background. When I was in 7th grade, my two best friends and I made up a silly, jr. high-humor song. It is sung to the tune of "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" and it goes like this:
Tinkle, tinkle in the potty
This is how I drain my body.
When I'm through, I wipe my booty
To get off old crusty doody (remember, 7th grade... don't judge.)
Tinkle, tinkle in the potty
This is how I drain my body.
I didn't realize in 7th grade that this song would come in handy when trying to potty train my firstborn. So, I sing this song every time Eva sits on the body. (And don't worry, Mom, I did change the "crusty doody" part.) :)
More background. Recently, Eva started calling her bottom her "business" because when her daddy gives her a bath, he says, "Come here and let me wash your business."
Back to tonight, we were all tired, so it was quiet. Until Eva started singing her version of "Tinkle, tinkle in the potty." Her version went something like this:
Tinkle in the potty
Tinkle in the potty
This is drain body
Tinkle in the potty
Tinkle in the potty
This is business
She kept singing this over and over again. It was hilarious! We could not stop laughing. Not to mention that her version also had a tune all its own. Too bad I didn't record it, so you could all enjoy the hilariousness of the moment. Hopefully this story did it some justice.

This story made my evening! I laughed so hard! The last line of Eva's song is my favorite. What a silly little thing!
That is hilarious. LOVE it. Were you still in Saline in 7th grade? If so, I need to know who those friends were. :) What did you change the "crusty doody" part to? And, love that she calls her bottom her "business." :) Cute cute cute. I think I might have to steal that little song for future use with my kiddos. You might need to patent it (or whatever you do with songs). :)
That is seriously hilarious! Your daughter is way too cute...and smart!
HAHAHA! First off, I love that Ryan calls Eva's bottom her business. HA! That is hilarious, and so is that song! You were so clever in the seventh grade! :) I laughed so hard at this post.
