Happy Mommy's Day

Happy Mother's Day to me!  I had a great weekend thanks to my sweet hubby and little girl.  Yesterday, Ryan got up with Eva when she woke up at her normal 6:15 am.  I rolled over and went right back to sleep and slept until my stupid watch alarm went off at 8 am.  It was great!  Then yesterday afternoon we did a little shopping and then had our Happy Mother's Day dinner.  It was super yummy.  I opted to not fight the crowds for lunch today so we just came home right after church.  Then my sweet hubby let me take a nap today.  I got all sorts of good sleep this weekend.

My favorite "gift" of the weekend was yesterday afternoon.  Eva went down for her nap and she woke up just an hour later.  I knew pretty quickly that she hadn't slept long enough.  So I started rocking her and she quickly went back to sleep.  She slept in my lap for another hour and a half!  It was so sweet to just watch her sleep.  It just melted my heart.  I also laughed pretty hard at one point because she was talking in her sleep.  She rustled around and said, "Mommy, read this.  Mommy, read this."  I finally told her "ok" and she went right back to sleep.  Then a couple of minutes later she said, "This book.  This book..."  Again, I said "ok" and she went right back to sleep.  Ryan and I were laughing so hard, but trying to laugh quietly.  It was so hard!

I sure do love my little girl!  She has made the last two years of my life interesting for sure.  I never knew that I could love something so much that disturbed my sleep on a daily basis.  :)

What a great weekend! I love that Eva talks in her sleep. There is no better medicine in life than rocking your child to sleep. Just priceless.

BTW, Eva was super cute (as always)in Sunday School a few days ago. She was a sweetie pie and came up to the door when I was picking up Ella.
