My little Two Year Old

We have a 2 year old. Can you believe that? I sure can't. It makes me sad that she is growing so fast, but I'm so proud of her at the same time. This picture was taken when she was 1 day old just before we left the hospital. She was just the tiniest little ball of sweetness that I couldn't stop kissing. Not much has changed I guess. Only now she doesn't fit right under my neck. Sad. But she's still just as sweet and cuddly.

Yesterday we started talking to Eva about her birthday and Ryan asked her "What are you going to do for your birthday?" And she responded that she would have ice cream. We looked at each other and were like, well, I guess we'll go get ice cream tomorrow. So this picture is of Eva sharing some ice cream with her daddy. We were looking at all of the ice cream options and we asked her which one she wanted and she pointed to the pink one. Luckily Ryan already wanted strawberry ice cream, so they got to share. :)

Lounging around after her ice cream

Blowing out two birthday candles. Somehow she knew exactly what to do when we put the candles in front of her.

My favorite things about Eva right now:
1. I love the way she prays. Ex. Two nights ago, she told everyone to pray, which means we had to close our eyes and fold our hands. Then she said, "Dear Jesus, Thank you food. Thank you cheese. Amen." (All she ate for dinner that night was cheese for some reason, so I guess she was especially thankful for it."

2. Her songs. Today she sang her own version of "Jesus Loves Me". It went like this: "Jesus loves me so. Jesus loves me so. Jesus loves me. For Bible tells me so." I thought that was pretty good. She also enjoys singing the Hokey Pokey and turning around.

3. I love the excitement about everything she sees and does. When she opened some presents from her Aunt this weekend, she held the clothes up and said, "Pretty!" She just gets excited about all of the little things in life, including getting the mail. It's so sweet!

We are so thankful for every day of the last 2 years with our little girl. Sure we could have done without the 9 months without a full nights' sleep, but in the grand scheme of things it really isn't a big deal.

Jesus, thank you for Eva!

Two years of blessing in our life, is this little Eva Rachel. Life took on a whole new meaning when little Eva entered this world. Being her Mimi K for these two years has been the greatest blessing! Ilove our theme song right now "Mockingbird, Mimi!"

Love you all - MIMI K
