Has it really been 4 weeks?!

Apparently my little boy will be 4 weeks old today.  This is just what I'm told, though.  When asked one day this week how old he was, I went completely blank and had to look at Ryan.  Thankfully Ryan knew the answer to this simple question.  Me? Not so much.

Sleep.  It's a funny thing.  I was telling Ryan the other day how amazing it is that God created our bodies to need sleep so much.  It serves so many purposes other than just keeping me from turning into "Oscar the Grouch".  (Side note:  I seem to have very "deep" thoughts when I'm sleep deprived.) It helps your body fight off sickness, lifts your mood, and just generally makes you feel better.  So why is it that I haven't gotten a good night's sleep in exactly one year?  I remember that night, it was fabulous.

Exactly one year ago was our 5th anniversary and Ryan and I were able to get away for the weekend.  Oh glorious night of sleep we had!  Maybe next year we'll be able to get away again and I can have my next good nights' sleep.  :)

See, this is why I haven't written a post in almost 2 weeks.  Does anyone actually care about anything that I've just written about???  Is anyone even still reading?  Oh, mom, thanks for still reading.  To those who are skimming, I'll check back in about 2 more weeks when I can actually write a coherent sentence.

Or maybe it'll be next year.

You better believe I'm reading--and soaking in every word! But where are my pictures??? Oh yes, the sleep deprivation. Love you anyway though. And I thought your blog was fabulous!

Precious friend. Pump some milk and check yourself into a hotel for a night. Ryan can handle it. ;-)

P.S. I love your blog and am always reading, coherent sentences or not.

Coherent sentences are over-rated!

I am reading. I completely understand the lack of sleep. Rebecca didn't sleep the whole night for a year. I felt like a zombie. But now she sleeps great. Hang in there!

I will always read as well!!! Hang in there girl! I agree with the hotel idea! I am tagging along with Adam to a conference next week, really just because the thought of a full night's sleep sounded too good to pass up! Love you!
