6 months

I can't even believe that this big guy is 6 months old already! Time has flown by in a haze of sleeplessness. But seeing this face sure makes it worth it.

I took about a hundred pictures of him with his 6 month sign and he kept trying to eat the paper.

He is just so happy!

At 6 months old Eli is 21 1/2 lbs and 27 inches long. That would be the 96th percentile for weight and 70th-ish percentile for length. He is our "little chunkers".

What Eli has been up to this month:
-Eating up a storm! You love to eat and enjoy every new food you've tasted. Except peas. Not a big fan of those, but you'll eat them when I mix them with something else like carrots. You definitely feel the need to eat when other people are eating and will get downright annoyed if we don't feed you, too. It makes us laugh so much. I was feeding you yesterday and stopped to wipe your mouth and you reached for the spoon and pulled it to your mouth. It was so funny!
-As mentioned in the previous post, you're still having a hard time sleeping. We'll get there, though. Some days it doesn't bother me, but then I hit a wall and feel like you just have to sleep!
- You are by far one of the happiest and most content babies I have ever known. Recently, I was called out of church to come feed you. I didn't think it was quite time, but you were fussing when I got back there. It turned out that you were just tired and fell asleep almost immediately. When I told the nursery workers that you were more tired than hungry, they felt bad, but said that you hadn't really ever cried before so they figured something was wrong.
- You still love to wave, although it's not always purposeful. It's so sweet though.
- You look for me when asked, "Where's mommy?"
- Sitting up so well.
-Trying so hard to roll over to tummy. Did it one time while trying to go to sleep, but that just made you mad.
-So interested in your surroundings.
-Will play peek-a-boo with me. You will put your head down on my chest and then pop up when I ask, "Where's Eli?" It's the cutest thing ever!
- So ticklish!! You laugh so hard when we tickle you. It's greatness!

You are so much fun and we love you more than ever!
