Let's See...

1. Today my baby boy is 7 months old. He'll get a post to himself soon, but not today because...

2. I've been sick. Yuck. Fever stinks. It makes everything hurt. The fever is gone, but I still have a headache. :( It's no wonder I'm sick because...

3. Eli has been sick, too. He had a nasty cold last week that resulted in lots and lots of sleep loss for mommy. Then he had fever this weekend, but has been super happy since Sunday evening. He's currently jumping in his excersaucer.

4. We have had a really good nurse in my sweet Eva. She has been taking such good care of me today. She laid in bed with me this morning. She never said a word, just laid there. When I asked if she would rather go play, she said, "No. I'm just going to stay here and take care of you." How much do we love that kid?!?! After a little while, (either she thought I was asleep or her little wiggly self just couldn't be still another second) she got up to go play, but not before she tucked the covers in around my chin, brushed the hair off my face, and kissed my forehead. (I feel that I should clarify that Ryan was able to take a sick day today to help take care of the kiddos while I recuperated.) She is currently on a "daddy date" right now at Chik-fil-a because kids eat free on Tuesday nights and momma's not cooking! Before leaving, Eva tucked me in again and said, "Mommy, I love you. I hope you feel better in a few weeks. Bye!"

5. Contrary to the rumor floating around my parents' small town, my oldest brother was not in Haiti at the time of the earthquake to pick up the child that they are (not) adopting. They were, however, in Dominican Republic visiting the child that they sponsor through Compassion International . Oh you small town rumors. So funny because you're so wrong.

6. Our computer crashed last week and sent me into a panic. I thought that precious pictures were gone forever. Thankfully, a friend of ours was able to do some computery stuff that I don't understand and rescue some important stuff from our hard drive before we had to buy a new hard drive, which said friend installed and then put all the important stuff back on. That's a lot of words to say that you should always, always, ALWAYS! back up your important stuff. Because hard drives do not last forever.
I guess that's about it in a nutshell. More later when my head is not pounding.

...and my "sweet girl", too! I think she'll make everyone's list with that post! Love her so much - and, you too! Hope you are feeling better.

Eva is such a sweetheart. I just love how nurturing she is. Fever is awful, and I am glad you are on the mend. Hope everyone is 100% soon. Cannot believe that Eli is already 7 months.
