I guess we should start with Christmas

On Christmas morning, the pitter patter of little feet ran down the hall to discover this:
There was much excitement! The loot included the kitchen, compliments of her Gi and Papa. A snuggie for kids, from mom and dad. A snow white dress and toddler camera, from Santa. It was one of the most fun Christmases ever! (And for the record, she asked for a snuggie and she LOVES it!)

On Christmas morning, our street looked like this:
At this point there was probably 6-8 inches of snow. But when it was all said and done we got 10-12 inches from this one snow storm. Then a few days later we got another 3 inches. Then another few inches, and tomorrow will bring another 3-4 inches. I've never seen so much snow!

Neither had this little snow angel.
So after opening presents, we all bundled up and went outside to play. It was insanely cold. (And Eva's snow coat was in our car, which was headed to the airport with my oldest brother and sister-in-law. So her snow play was limited until the coat made it back.)

Since it was so cold. Gi and Eli stayed inside and did a lot of this:

Meanwhile, the snow angel threw snow at us.
While my brother, Russ, his wife, Renetta, Ryan and I did a lot of sledding down our back yard.
The cute little couple sledding.
Our back yard is perfect for sledding! If you don't count the number of times that we hit the fence, almost hit a tree, or bailed at the last second to keep from hitting one or the other. We had so much fun! I haven't seen my brother this happy since the day he married his cute little wife.

But soon, we had to come inside to prevent frost bite. And these two little cuties made my heart melt into a little puddle.

And that was Christmas, part 1! It was so much fun having all of my family here. The snow was a special treat!

Sounds like a great Christmas! I'll bet Eva was so excited to wake up and see so many gifts! I especially loved the sledding pics. What a special holiday this must have been for your family.
