A nice girl opened her door and asked if I was there for an interview. I confirmed I was and she told me that no one was allowed in the building because it was a crime scene. I started looking for the CSI crew. They weren't there. I turned and walked back toward my car when another lady asked if I was there for an interview. I again confirmed that I was and she said that I could either come back another day or I could just wait for a few minutes until the police officers were finished with their investigation. I waited.
Sitting in my car, I laughed to myself at the weirdness of the situation. It wasn't long before the police officers (all 4 of them) took off after the bandit. The lady that was interviewing me came over and I followed her past the piles of broken glass and busted door into the office building, which was now freezing cold because there was nothing to keep the heat in and cold out.
The rest of the interview was very normal. One interviewer did not hide her expression all that well when I mentioned that I was due to have a baby in June. I wasn't surprised about that at all. There were a lot of things about the interview and this particular place that makes me think this will not be the best fit for our family. I'm completely okay with that. I think God has a different plan.
Several have asked about my interview, so I thought I'd share. I wouldn't be shocked if they offer the job, but I won't be shocked if they don't offer the job either. Thanks for all of you that said you were praying for me today. It's probably the first interview I've ever had that I wasn't nervous at all.

okay, that is totally like an episode of The Office! so insanely odd! i'm wondering if i'd stick it out for the interview - i probably would have... partly to know what the 'crime scene' was, too. haha
