Guess who's 16 months old today!
Last night, we gave him a hair cut. It almost made me cry because he went from looking like a baby to looking like a big boy in about 5 minutes. See!?

I kept telling Ryan over and over, "It'll grow." He finally asked me, "What is it that you don't like about his hair cut? It looks really good!" That's when I realized that although the cut looks fine, it made him look like a big boy and I'm having a hard time handling it. :(
Hello pregnancy hormones! You are a treasure.
Okay, back to my little man. He is growing up so much right now. He's finally starting to talk more and it is the cutest thing ever. I love kids' first phrases. Like the other day, I asked him, "Eli, where's your belly button?" He lifted his shirt and said, "Zere iziz!" Oh, he steals my heart every day! Can't wait to have another little boy that will do the same. :)
Things he loves:
-Eating
-Sleeping
-His blanket
-Watching out the window for the school bus, trucks, and most importantly for daddy to come home.
-Running outside. Every time we come home, as soon as I take him out of his car seat, he starts pointing to the driveway and saying, "Un! Un!" (Run!)
- Trying to jump, tackling Eva, rolling/throwing a ball, climbing on the fireplace, and rough-housing in general. He is 150% boy. :)
-Watching Elmo... especially during the time right before daddy gets home when everyone loses emotional control. Or maybe that's just when I especially like for him to watch Elmo.
-belly buttons! He loves putting his finger in any belly button he sees. It cracks him up!!!
-Bath time!
- looking at books.
Things the little man hates:
-Anytime mommy leaves his presence. It just breaks his heart.
-Waiting for food to cool off.
-Having his diaper changed... or changing clothes. Because, really, who has the time?!?
As you can see, not much rattles this kid. As long as I stay close, feed him quickly, and play games during diaper changing time, he is pretty happy.
Things I don't ever want to forget:
-The way he moves his little hand when he's waving= cutest thing ever.
-The way he gets so excited when he sees daddy's car pull in the drive way.
-His giggle
-His jibberish
- His attempts at jumping.
-The way he dances to anything with a rhythm.
Maybe I just want to freeze him at this age. He is just so fun!
I love you to pieces little Eli! You make us so proud to call you ours. :)

Love, Mimi
I can't get over how much older he looks just since July!!!!!! He looks like a little man! :)
He is getting SO big, and yes that cut makes him look so much older. I get teary eyed now when I think of how big my babies have gotten and I wonder where the time has gone.
He is so adorable, Haley. You and Ryan sure make cute kids :)
The cut would be hard to handle without the hormones...it just gets a mom when she sees her baby lookin' like a lil' boy!
He is precious Haley! I just can't imagine how sweet & beautiful the next little one will be just based off your these too!
