Now I know

I, for one, had absolutely no clue that chocolate is often produced by child slaves until I read this. But now I know. Now, I can't buy regular chocolate products with a clear conscience. I know it's not much, but I hope that ultimately it's a way to honor the Maker of those precious children.

I've been reading this blog for about 6 weeks now and if it doesn't make you stop and think about your priorities, then we probably can't be friends. :) (I realize I linked to a specific post, but I did that because it's related to the chocolate thing. I promise you will be challenged and inspired if you go back and read their story. Just a regular family that took a very huge step of faith in order to be obedient to Christ. It's a must read for me now.)

That's all for now. I'll be back with a picture of my belly later. :)

I've known that for a while. Since I can't always afford free trade cocoa, I mostly use carob powder now. A nice alternative, but definitely not chocolate.
