I was reminded today of what great teammates my husband and I are. Example: Today, I was trying to clean the house a little bit because my dad is coming to visit. Ryan is out of town because his great, great aunt passed away. (She was 99 years old!) Since I have to work in the morning, I wasn't able to go with him but he took Eva, so I'm all alone. Anyway, back to the story. We learned early on in our marriage that I'm a a "cleaner" and he's a "straighten-upper". You know... "clean" as in disinfect, get the dirt out, kill the gross stuff. And then there's "clean" as in de-clutter, put stuff in drawers, get it out of sight. Both are still clean, but it's not really "welcome to my home" until both are done. Early in our marriage, Ryan and I had a few discussions on the subject because we were driving each other crazy every time we had to clean house. Fortunately, we had an amazing pre-marital counselor that talked about these types of differences, so we were able to quickly identify what we were fussing about. So, now when we are cleaning house, Ryan does most of the straightening and I do most of the disinfecting. See? Great teammates. Well, today I had to do both. I had done most of the disinfecting and then still felt like the house wasn't clean. That's when I realized that my teammate wasn't here to help. I did my best, but it isn't quite as good as Ryan does it.
Ryan, if you're reading this, I sure do miss you! And not just because you are a good "Straighten-upper". :)

Cute. I can totally relate.
And, I might totally be wrong, but I'm guessing your dad probably won't notice the difference. :)
How cute! John is also a "straighten-upper!" I'll bet you do miss your hubby and baby girl. I would love to get the girls together sometime! They have so many similarities! Enjoy your week!
